Train Viewing for Railfans
 | | Railfan |
| Dalton and Whitfield County are great for railfans who like to watch and photograph trains! Dalton is the only place in Georgia outside of Atlanta where two different rail lines converge and run side by side: CSX and Norfolk-Southern. The area by the 1914 Norfolk-Southern depot just off of E. Morris Street in downtown Dalton is a great place to set up your camera and capture images of the trains coming through. The Tunnel Hill Heritage Center in Tunnel Hill, Georgia, is another great place to view these modern machines.
Classic Car Cruise-In
The Classic Car Cruise-In is the perfect way to spend an evening. Enjoy reminiscing about the many classic cars as you take a leisurely stroll down main street. Take in the sights and sounds as the band plays. Cruise-Ins take place the second Saturday of each month April through October.
